520 _aThis study was undertaken to assess the efficacy of mentoring the mentors' practices towards the teachers' teaching performance. Specifically, this sought to: (1) determine the extent of school heads' mentoring the mentor practices as perceived by select public elementary school teachers; (2) assess the level of teachers' instructional practices and work performance; and (3) find the relationship between the level of teachers' instructional practices and work performance and the perceived extent of school heads' mentoring the mentor practices of selected public elementary schools in the city of Cagayan de Oro. This study employed a descriptive research design and the method included quantitative approach. The quantitative approach was used in gathering information in numerical form. Additionally, the researcher used a modified and patterned questionnaire related the mentoring the mentors' practices and instructional practices of the teachers.
